Production Scheduler

Position:
Production Scheduler
Job Duties:
  • Review the previous day’s production to identify the gaps between actual vs scheduled production and track % adherence to schedule
  • Create press schedules in Epics based on scheduling rules
  • Schedule the number of available die copies required on record those die #s on the work orders and cover page
  • Attached all quality alerts and inspection sheets to work orders
  • Go to the shop floor as frequently as necessary to confirm with press operators/supervisors to ensure work orders and schedules are at all presses
  • Interface with die shop to ensure that dies are at the presses as per the released schedules
  • Receive billets in EPICs (confirm the accuracy of each billet load and enter the packing slip details into EPICS)
  • Assist in monthly inventory counts
  • Confirm on a daily basis the billets on hand to ensure that schedule can be fulfilled as necessary
Qualifications and Skills Required:
  • Post secondary education and minimum 3 - years of relevant work experience
  • This role requires excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills
  • Time management
  • Proficiency in various computer applications such as word, excel, ERP system
