Lift Truck Operator

Position:
Lift Truck Operator
Responsibilities:
  • Operating lifting devices, i.e. Counterbalance Forklift.
  • Manually load and unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms and lifting devices
  • Support inventory control with accurate documentation
  • Accurately weigh and document materials
  • Ensure material handling equipment is safe and functioning correctly
  • Ensure all production rack tags are true and accurate for inventory and material is stacked and stored in above expected condition for final delivery to customer
  • Support all production needs i.e. load log magazine, move good material into correct locations assist with packing off the line and dump and movement of scrap and scrap bins onto correct scrap trailers
  • Follow 5S system
  • Follow all safety procedures, and report anything that is unsafe
  • Other duties assigned when needed
Qualifications:
  • Valid Fork Lift License
  • Ability to load multiple types of trailers (i.e. vans, flatbeds, step decks, sprinter trucks)
  • Previous experience as a Material Handler working in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal
  • Ability to perform well under pressure
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-pace environment
  • Ability to work 12 hour days and afternoon rotating shift schedule
  • Access to reliable transportation
